What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My motivation was to become better because, at the time, I was the worst version of myself.
What inspired me to keep going was the promise I made to myself and the fact that if I gave up, everyone would know I was a failure.
How did you change your eating habits?
I changed my eating habits by cutting out desserts and every liquid calorie. I had one cheat meal each week. I did not use a specific program; I did everything myself.
What is your workout routine? How often did you work out?
I worked out six days a week:
- Monday – chest and triceps
- Tuesday – leg day
- Wednesday – back and biceps
- Thursday – core
- Friday – rest day
- Saturday – legs/cardio (ran 5 miles on track)
- Sunday – full body day
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 215 pounds, and my current weight in the after photo is 147 pounds.
What is your height?
I’m 5’2″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my transformation journey at the beginning of September 2019, and it took me till May 2020 to lose 67 pounds (so about eight months)
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, weight loss surgery was not part of my journey.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I learned is to stay consistent no matter what. If you see results, stay consistent. If you don’t see results, stay consistent. The only way to guarantee you won’t succeed is to stop trying.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
To the women who want to lose weight, don’t listen to that little voice in your head. You will feel sooo much better if you just do it. You know what you need to do. It’s so easy to talk yourself out of doing something. Winners do the things that losers don’t like doing.
