What was your motivation?
I chose to live and show the world who God intended me to be.
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My kids. I never want to see the look of fear in their eyes looking at me after watching “My 600 lb Life”.
How did you change your eating habits?
My 10-year-old was in a FitKid program from 4-7. She started paying attention to what went into her body (she still does). She asked if she could plan my meals and workout routine. Even though Wednesday is my designated cheat day, she still dictates what that looks like.
I practiced intermitting fasting (18/6) and removed white food from my diet. I also consume 3000ml of water per day.
How often did you work out?
I work out 5 – 7 per week.
What is your workout routine?
I walk 5 – 7 days ( 2 -4 miles). I do cardio Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
What was your starting weight? 368 pounds
What is your current weight? 273 pounds
What is your height? 5’6″
When did you start your journey?
I started on January 1, 2022.
How long did your transformation take?
9+ Months and counting…
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, I put the weight on without medical assistance, so I felt I wanted to get it off without it.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
To be very intentional with everything in my life. I intend to be healthy; therefore, what I eat and how active I am must align.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
You didn’t put the weight on overnight, so take it one day at a time. When it gets tough, that means you are approaching your goal. Also, surround yourself with people who will tell you the truth.
