Victoria lost 19 pounds. She started her journey in April and she being going strong ever since. With healthy eating habits, cardio and light weights, she’s made great progress. Check out what she shared with us.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going?
My motivation came when I went to the gun range with a few ladies from church. Someone snapped pictues of me there. Three days later, I received the photos and was devastated. I told myself that it was time to change something. 3/9/18 was the day I said that, and I began trying to make better choices. I made a promise to myself that before I turn 33 years old in May that I would make a change. What inspired me to keep going was when I looked at that picture of myself.
When did you start your journey?
I officially started this journey on 4-2-2018, so it’s been about three months. That was the day I got on the scale.
How did you change your eating habits?
My eating habits really had to be cleaned up. I stopped eating bread and rice. I say stop because these two foods controlled me. I was a gummy worm lover and those had to go as well. I love drinking water so that part was not hard for me. Everyone is different. If I have coffee there’s absolutely no sugar. I also stopped eating so late, because I would have unhealthy items all during the night.
What does your workout routine look like?
At first, my workout consisted of a lot of cardio. I workout 5 days a week. I love to walk outdoors and just enjoy nature. After a walk, I come home and lift light weights for about 5-10 minutes. Every little bit counts.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
When I finally got on the scale on 4-2-2018, I was blown away to see that my weight was 281.6 pounds. Now, I weigh 262.5 pounds and I’m so proud. My height is 5’3″.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson that I have learned is that you have to run your own race. Just hang in there for the long haul. It’s a process and a journey. We have to realize that the weight didn’t come on overnight and it want leave that quickly. It can be done! Let’s go…
