Transformation of the Day: Veronica lost 30 pounds. She just wanted to feel good in her own skin and be more confident. By changing her eating habits and working out at home, she’s achieved awesome results. Now, she’s helping people achieve their goals as well. Check out what she shared with us about her journey.
What was your motivation?
My motivation was to feel good in my own skin. Not just in the clothing I wore, but without the clothing as well. I wanted to be able to feel confident mentally.
What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
When I wanted to give up, my inspiration came from looking at all the before pictures that I had. I knew I didn’t want to go back there and live a life of unhappiness.
How did you change your eating habits?
I took it one day at a time with my nutrition and gradually added healthier items to my routine. I started reading ingredients on labels and followed a meal plan that was provided to me when I became a Beachbody coach.
I started drinking a superfood meal replacement to feed my body healthy nutrients and help me achieve my healthy weight loss goals. I stopped eating red meat because of the nausea I felt after eating it. I also stopped eating processed foods and starting taking the time to cook more.
What did your exercise routine look like?
My workout routine consisted of everything from weight lifting, cardio, HIIT to yoga. I have done at-home fitness programs from Insanity to mixed martial arts. Typically, each workout is 30-45 minutes a day for 6 days a week.
Starting weight/Current weight
My starting weight was 160 pounds and my current weight is 130 pounds. Muscle gains replaced some of the the fat loss. My height is 5’3″
When did you start your journey?
I started my journey in 2011 while in a very toxic marriage, but I committed to the journey on October 10, 2015 when I became a Beachbody coach. It took two years to finally become confident with myself and strive for more. I became stronger and healthier both mentally and physically
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
My biggest lesson is never take for granted the opportunity to really love yourself. Self love is not selfish.
What advice would you share with other people who want to release the weight?
My advise to others is trust the process and trust your patience. This will take time. Also, trust that this journey will make you better.
