What was your motivation?
Faith is my motivation. I believe faith and fitness are very important.
What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
What inspired me to keep going after struggling for over 20 years, is faith, purpose, destiny, my children, my beautiful grandson, and everyone God has assigned to me.
How did you change your eating habits?
I stopped eating pork and beef over eighteen years ago. I stopped eating dairy, gluten, and soy. I also fast a lot as part of my spiritual lifestyle.
I love all green vegetables, raw and cooked, I love fresh green juice and fresh fruit as well. I have been vegan and dairy free for two years.
I currently follow Dr. Sebi food list. He is a Holistic doctor from Honduras. I use the following herbs daily; Spirulina, Moringa, turmeric root, Irish moss, and burdock root. Eating in a vegan, plant-based, alkaline way has changed my life.
What did your workout routine consist of?
I walk 6 miles three time a week in the summer. In the winter, I go to the gym three times a week. I exercise at home as well (jump rope, squats, and 5 lb dumbbells). I can actually run a little bit now.

I started in 2017. My transformation took 2 years.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
You have to learn your body. I learned that a lot of times I ate to be sociable.
A combination of Faith and fitness got me to my goal. I am 45 years old, soon to be 46. I feel better now than I did as an adolescent. I have always been different, but now I have embraced it. I love me.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Believe in yourself. Love your body enough to make it healthy so you can be around for a long time.
Go at your own pace. It’s not a competition. No matter what, don’t give up.
We were all born with a purpose, and being healthy, mind, body, and soul will help you fulfill your purpose.
