Update: Shani has released 46 more pounds for a total of 154.8 pounds gone.
Age: 28
Starting Weight: 153.9 KG (338.5. lbs)
Current Weight: 83.5KG. (183.7lbs)
Total Weight Loss: 70.4KG (154.8lbs)
Goal Weight: 70KG (154lbs)
Since the last update, I have lost an additional 20.8KG (45.7lbs). This journey taught me patience like no other and a deep unconditional love for self. Although I have not yet achieved my ultimate goal, I am so proud of the progress that I have made thus far. Today, I live a much healthier and balanced life.
I currently work out about three times a week, and I am working on gradually re-integrating carbs into my diet (approx. once a week).
As my weight loss started slowing down, it took a while to adapt to the new pace. In February 2019, I ventured into a new life journey and began working on my Master’s Degree. To be honest, I forgot for a while how intense study pressures were and the toll that they can sometimes take on the mind and body alike.
At the moment, I have decided to maintain my current weight and focus on my studies for the remaining six months. After graduation, I plan to commit to a year of personal training with a keen focus on strength training, in hopes to continue this amazing transformation and achieve the goal that I set in place a year ago.
I have learned so many lessons on this journey. It has changed me not only physically but also mentally. At times, it took the strength of unimaginable portions. To all you strong women on your own unique journeys, may we continue to find strength on the hardest of days and pure joy in all our accomplishments.
We featured her story back in January 2019. Read more about how she released the weight.
