Transformation of the Day: Tynika lost 82 pounds. She’s been struggling with her weight since childhood so she is ecstatic about her transformation. She was blessed to have a significant other who supported her and learned with her on her journey. Vegan/vegetarian eating and exercise has made the difference.
Hello Queens! My name is Tynika N. and I am so proud to announce that I have lost over 80 pounds! I was diagnosed with asthma at an early age (10 yrs old). This was the start of my weight gain, which would eventually spiral into a whooping 262 pounds! I have struggled with my weight my whole entire life! At 2 months old, I weighed 18 lbs! So, you all can understand my graditude at this point! I’m ecstatic and smiling from ear to ear right now!
I met my King 3 years ago and that’s when he and I motivated each other to start eating healthy and exercising 3 times a week! I cut out pork and beef from my diet in 2014, which helped my digestive tract as well! It was like a shock to my system, because I had been eating that type of food my whole life! I started eating raw kale with everything. I drink a liter to a gallon of water everyday to flush my organs. I work to get all the nutrients possible into my diet! I also included herbs from Dr. Sebi‘s cookbook and ate mainly organic vegan and vegetarian meals. I started eating to live!
I went hard in the gym three times a week. I worked out for a half an hour to an hour on the treadmill, along with 100 sets of squats and crunches! I also used elliptical machines, did weight lifting and so much more! I love to sun bathe and basically just lay out and soak the energy from the sun, so I jog, do squats and burpees in the sun as well! I follow Body by Maria so I use a lot of her routines! Now, I have committed an hour a day to working out, at least 4 times a week! It has definitely become an addiction to keep on bettering myself!
I currently weigh 180 pounds and I’m 5’3.5″ tall. I have a little more progress to go, but I’ve come a long way! It took me a year to get here! No pills, no surgeries… just hard work and dedication!
I have to say that seeing my results and the weight falling off inspired and motivated me to keep going. Having my King support me and help me become knowledgeable about healthy eating and healthy living helped as well!
I would tell other Black Queens that we have to eat to live, not eat to die! What you put in is what comes out! Most importantly NEVER GIVE UP! If I can to this, anybody can! Believe in yourself. Love yourself Queens, or nobody will! Peace, Queens!
