Transformation of the Day: Tshwanda lost 15 pounds and lots of inches. This proud mom is determined to live a healthy lifestyle for her 10-year-old daughter and control her high blood pressure. She is not waiting until the end of her journey to celebrate her success.
What was your motivation?
My primary motivation is my 10-year-old daughter. I have to try to be and stay healthy to be around to take care of her. I also have high blood pressure, so I’m trying to keep it under control.
How did you change your eating habits?
My eating habits haven’t changed much. I just drink a lot more water and eat plenty of fruit and vegetables.
What did your workout routine consist of?
For my workout routine, I walk the track or walk on the treadmill. I work out at least 2 to 3 times a week for 1 hour.

I’m 5’6″
What is your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 275 pounds, and my current weight is 260 pounds. I’ve mainly lost inches from my stomach and back area.
When did you start your journey?
Overall, I have been on my journey for about three years now. However, my transformation began in August 2021.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, weight loss surgery is not part of my journey at this moment. I plan to do it on my own.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I have learned so far is to keep going no matter how hard the journey gets. Keep pushing.
What is your advice for women who want to lose weight?
To women who want to lose weight, I say dedication and motivation are the keys.
