Trecie lost 51 pounds this year. She prioritized self-care by focusing on developing healthy eating habits and working out. Using sea moss is part of her routine.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My motivation came from having a conversation with a friend in January of this year. She said one thing that still sits with me: Working out is a part of self-care, just like eating is. From that point, I stopped making excuses and got back to working out.
How did you change your eating habits?
My eating habits did not really change. I lost weight before with Keto, and I tried to incorporate it again when I began my journey, but I was always hungry. Now what I have done is used sea moss daily. Also, on the days I work out, I only eat a meal after I work out. Before I work out, I have a protein shake with sea moss to give me the necessary energy.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
My workout routine consists of running the stairs for 10 minutes straight, 2-3 miles of running/walking, and 15 minutes of HIIT every other day. Soon I will be incorporating bike riding on days that I don’t work out. (and more HIIT)
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight initially was 220 pounds when I did Keto. I dropped down to 180 pounds. Then I regained weight and got back to just shy of 190 pounds before I started to work out. I currently weigh 169 pounds.
What is your height?
5’3″
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
My journey has been off and on since 2017. This is my 4th time in life losing weight. In 2017, I did Keto. I stopped Keto and gained the weight back in 2018. In January 2020, I started working out again.

N/A
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I’ve learned that working out is self-care. Also, if you don’t care for yourself, who will?
