Starting weight: 194 pounds
Current weight: 163 pounds
Height: 5’5″ tall
What was your motivation?
My motivation to lose weight started when I failed a mandatory fitness assessment for the military. I was also motivated by not being able to afford tummy surgery and wanting to become a women’s physique competitor in bodybuilding.
What inspired you when you wanted to give up?
My 9 year old daughter inspires me daily to get to gym. I always tell her if you start something, you have to finish it.
How did you change your eating habits?
I eat 5 meals per day that consist of lean protein, fruits and vegetables. I drink 1 gallon of water/day and take supplements recommended by my Personal Trainer and Nutritionist, Coach Herb Cables. My cheat meals are very minimal. In the past, I loved McDonald’s cheeseburgers and now I can’t stand the smell of McDonald’s. Now, I eat real food like grilled chicken, grilled fish, brown rice and steamed veggies.
What did your workout routines look like?
Depending on the day of the week, I start my workouts with 25 burpees and 25 dumbbell swings or 50 jumping jacks and mountain climbers. I workout different muscles groups daily. For example, today I’ll work on my shoulders and abs. Cardio is included in my workouts 3 times a week. which consists of 100 yd sprints (10 times per workout) or bodyweight squats, alternating lunges and jump squats for 3 rounds with no rest in between (I do them as fast as I can).
How long did your transformation take?
10 months
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
STAY CONSISTENT and eat properly for the results you want. Exercising is cheaper than therapy, love your body, stay encouraged and STAY MOTIVATED!
