What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My daughter is my biggest motivation. I wanted to have the energy to keep up with her.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I have been on this weight loss journey for over ten years. I didn’t begin to make long-term progress until a year and a half ago. I’m still in the midst of my transformation. I’m 20 pounds from my goal weight.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
I had gastric bypass surgery in August 2022.
How did you change your eating habits?
I focus on clean eating, and my goal is to eat 100 grams of protein per day.

What is your workout routine?
I weight train along with cardio (usually on the treadmill), along with working on my core.
How often did you work out?
I work out 5-6 days a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 294 pounds, and my current weight is 182 pounds.
What is your height?
I’m 5’3″.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I learned to celebrate the small wins along the journey.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
More than anything, weight loss is a mental journey. The mindset you have prior to losing weight will remain the same unless you do the mental work as well.
