Tiesha lost 45 pounds, transforming physically and mentally. She has worked to keep the pounds off for eight years. (We’ve followed her story since 2016) She released the weight and kept it off by working out and maintaining a Pescatarian/Plant-based lifestyle.
What was your motivation?
After a long-term relationship ended, I completely let myself go. Needless to say, I remembered who I was and whose I am — Job 33:4. I vowed to become the most elevated version of myself.
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
I was inspired by seeing such a significant change, physically and mentally.
How did you change your eating habits?
I started with a 21 Day Challenge
- No Soda
- No Juice
- No Pastries
- No Sweets
- No Alcoholic Beverages
- No Takeout
- No Junk Food
Nine years what began as a diet has become a lifestyle. For the last 7-8 years, I’ve yo-yo’d between a Pescatarian and a Vegetarian lifestyle. For the last six months, I’ve been transitioning to Vegan. Snacks from Adkins and Lilly’s (Keto) are my absolute favorites in terms of snacks! (Yummy, Guilt-free, No sugar with 1-2 Net Carbs.)
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
Pre-World Crisis/Covid: I worked out in the gym 4-5 times weekly

Starting Weight: 180 pounds

When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
Initially, it took 8 1/2 months [2016]. I lost 30 pounds within the first 3 1/2-4 months. After that, I stumbled into a weight loss plateau for a month or so. Shortly after that, I t an additional 15 pounds.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
Your speed doesn’t matter. Fwd. is fwd.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Mentally identify your triggers, face them, and triumph. Also, when it comes to workouts, keep it quick. Then you are then more likely to stick to it making it a habit.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No surgery. I did take a Dietary Supplement for three months.
