What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
When I wanted to give up, I always would think about how far I’d come.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
I had VSG. [Gastric Sleeve weight loss surgery]
How did you change your eating habits?
In the beginning, I participated in a 30-day vegan challenge and did Keto. I cut out fast food, cooked more high-protein meals, and cut out bread for a while.
What is your workout routine?
As soon as I was cleared to work out, I exercised every day. I do 45 minutes of cardio. The Stairmaster was my best friend!
How often did you work out?
In the beginning, I worked out six days a week, and now about three days out of the week. I could do more; however, my occupation requires a lot of physical activity.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
I started my journey at 287 pounds and currently weigh 173 pounds.

I’m 4’11”.

I had VSG surgery on August 25, 2020.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I learned to always choose myself first.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Do what works for you. Also, do not let people sike you out of having weight loss surgery. Just do it!
