What was your motivation?
I was motivated by seeing my friends transform and wanting to do more with my children and myself!
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
I was inspired by three kids, me being 31 years old and putting on a lot of weight after my pregnancies. Then it was surgeries and just wanting to feel better!
The program I am doing motivated me, and I plan to be in the next upcoming challenge and hope to have more join me in this new lifestyle as it is not a diet!
How did you change your eating habits?
No counting carbs, no counting calories, and no weighing food. The program I use is about learning what your body does and doesn’t like, eating foods in moderation, and not having to give everything up! It’s super simple. I would love to share the R3 weight loss challenge with everyone. I need more sisters joining me in success! I highly recommend the new Fit4Fall challenge! Also, water intake is so important (at least eight 8oz glasses a day). I drink almost a gallon a day!
What is your workout routine?
I just walked here and there as my daily routine! I have a fractured ankle that is still healing. Now I’m weight-bearing and doing some at-home exercises that are recorded and done live by the creator of the program. I do home workouts four days a week. Day 5 is a stretching day as it is super important to stretch too!
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
Starting weight: 190 pounds
Current weight: 177 pounds
What is your height?
My height is 5’3″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey during the last week of May 2022 and still going now! I lost 6 lbs and 22 inches during my first week-long challenge. Now I’m down almost 15lbs and 28inches.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
I did not have surgery.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
BREAK UP WITH THE SCALE IF IT MAKES YOU FEEL A TYPE OF WAY! Only weigh in bi-weekly and measurements to be taken biweekly. Measurements are a huge NSV (Non-scale victory). I lost inches first, then the weight followed as I continued.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Say yes and start now. Stop saying, “Some day,’. I’m happy to help others with any questions they may have or if anyone wants to be along my side for the next challenge.
