Transformation of the Day: Tatiana lost 100 pounds. Faced with divorce, depression, and unhappiness, she wanted to take back control of her life. Realizing that fads and quick fixes don’t work, she changed her eating habits and hit the gym. Now she’s a personal trainer and health coach. Check out her story.
What was your motivation?
I was just truly unhappy. I didn’t love myself, and I let myself go. I let outside circumstances, like divorce, depression, and the feeling of unworthiness, get the best of me.
I could no longer stand to look in the mirror and see that person, so I did something about it. Now, I’m 100+ pounds down. Today, I’m a personal trainer/health coach, and I’m able to give back to others who have gone through similar situations. I’m HAPPY!
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
What inspired me was the thought of being able to control my life. I would no longer be looking for outside opinions to make me happy or make me feel loved. Being able to love myself inspired me.
How did you change your eating habits?
I did a lot of yo-yo dieting and tried of all the weight loss pills on the market. Once I realized that this is a lifestyle and stopped looking for quick fixes, my life changed. I started cutting down my portion sizes, lowering my carb intake, and adding a lot of more vegetables into my diet. I ate all my favorite foods and cheat snacks, but I did it in moderation. There are so many ways to lose weight.
Tell us about your workout routine.
I did a lot of cardio. I was a member of LA fitness and took a lot of the classes they offered, like Zumba, Step, and Cycle. I workout out 3-4 times a week. I have loose skin because I didn’t do much strength training. If I knew what I know now, I would’ve incorporated a lot of strength training.
Starting weight/Current weight
I started at 260 pounds. My lowest weight was 150 pounds. Now that I’m strength training and building muscle, I’m at 160 pounds.
What is your height?
I’m 5’8″.
When did you start your journey?
I began to take my journey seriously right after my divorce in 2016. Once that situation happened, I knew it was time to take my life and my health back into my own hands.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
My biggest lesson I learned is that this is my life and no one can change anything in it but me. I had to stop looking for hands outs and for people to feel sorry for me. I needed to control my destiny and rewrite my story!
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
Don’t go from zero to 100. Look to create a lifestyle and don’t rely on quick fixes. Also, STAY CONSISTENT!! Rome wasn’t built in one day.

Woman is gorgeous. Not taking anything away from her. But why do women wait until after a divorce to start taking care of themselves (weight and diet)? I see this a whole lot.
Carmel says
Maybe because she had to drop the dead weight in order to begin to live.

FACTS!!!!
Marie says
Not all women wait of course. Most of the time the spouse is controling, abusive on some level, doesnt help with kids or house work. There are many more i could mention but bottom line. When a woman or mans self esteem is low things wont change till the situation changes. Society is very destructive towards girls and women. Just something to ponder Jonny.

My husband didn’t want me to take care of myself. He liked the fact I was getting heavy and depressed. It’s not totally his fault but he encouraged and contributed to my depression and unhealthy lifestyle.
