I started my weight loss journey back in 2017 after having my baby. It’s been a very hard journey, but I encourage people to stay consistent, don’t get complacent, and trust the process. Once you reach your goal, it’s a beautiful feeling.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My motivation was seeing how much I let myself go. I wanted to live a healthier lifestyle.
What kept me consistent was the results I achieved. I noticed my body changing and that I was feeling better and lighter.
How did you change your eating habits?
I mainly stick to three meals a day. I eat junk food and sweets if I feel I have earned it. It’s good to keep a balance like that.
What did your workout routine consist of?
I fluctuate between running and upper body days. So Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I will go running. On Tuesday and Thursday, I work on my upper body. On my weekends, I will rest and recover.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 183 pounds, and now I weigh 120 pounds.
What is your height? 5’3″
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey in November 2017, and my transformation’s final/most recent part began in October 2022.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
I am all natural, no surgery.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I have learned that change begins when we finally get up and move. I was in a phase where I let myself go and decided to change that. Now I feel better than ever.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
My advice is to set a routine for yourself that you can later adjust and stay committed to it.
