Tamara has transformed her health and weight losing 94 pounds.
She says, “Hey Ive been so inspired through this page, I wanted to share my story to hopefully motivate another strong beautiful woman struggling with weight loss. Sept 14,2012 marks my 1 year weight loss epiphany. Sept 14,2011 I choose ME. I set out to conquer a task I’d never regret. I’ve cried ,cursed ,fallen , got up ,fell harder but most of all I CONQUERED ! And I NEVER gave up. I weighed myself on this anniversary and I’m 94 lbs lighter then I was 12months ago! My many friends and supporters have filled my heart with love and blessings! I Thank family ,friends and instructors who have been there and who are still there cheering me on as this is far from over! 50 lbs to go! #team GETITIN
Initially I used weight watchers online that helped me control my portions as I was a fast food junkie and that program allowed me to still have it in moderation until eventually I phased it out completely. Then incorporated that with the curves program 30 min 3 times a week, incorporated lean meats good carbs, fruits and veggies . The biggest help was a simple equation sugar =fat I kept my sugar low and my foods clean limiting processed and high sodium foods! As I’m still trying to loose I’m on a high protein regimen I work out 5 days alternating cardio, strength and conditioning at the gym and 2 days doing a sport of my choice swimming running etc i hope this helps thank you for sharing my story.”
Tamara, Thank you SO much for sharing the details of your transformation with us!!

Thank you for sharing your story Tamara you are a inspiration to me as i do love weight watchers food and now i do watch my sugar and fat intake my only problem is my health. I have health problems that prevent me from doing the workouts i want to do, my main problem now is my knees i love to workout, walk, cardio and all it makes me feel as if i’m on my way to my goal but it’s hard when i’m limited to some things, i even started doing Tiffany Rothe’s video exercises and i love them it’s just after i do them the next day i can barely walk because of my knee. If anyone know of any exercises i can do without knee pain please help i have 35 more pounds to go. Thank You Love you all

Tamara thanks for sharing, you look great! I hope you will let us know when you get the last 50 off. @Thickmadame – You should try water aerobics. It is a low impact workout. My knees also hurt often times after doing workouts or running. It has helped me alot.

Aqua aerobics is the answer for low impact workout. It provides cardio, strength, and muscle tone. My roommate and I go at least twice a week. I go 5 sessions when possible because I’m trying the October workout challenge. I’m feeling better, and can see the difference in fit of my clothes and my energy level is higher. I am a senior(69) and my roommate is 56. Each works at our own pace.

Thickmadame, I totally get it. I have arthritis in my knees, and my right hip, with torn cartilage in my left, so I understand the limited mobility. I’ve been told, and have experienced previously that weight loss is mostly about food. I use to be 310 pounds, and I got down to 210 by just eating right. That was when I was 19. Now that I am 25, and back up to 270, I’m finding that things get a little harder and different. I’m going to be starting a blog about living healthy and coping with pain at a young age where I will be trying out certain things that help reduce pain, but also help lose weight, so please stay tuned. I’ve lost weight before, I can definitely do it again!!! Even though sometimes I feel like giving up. In the meantime, swimming, water aerobics, and a stationary exercise bike will be great! Don’t try to do what your body does not like. Yes, zumba is fun, but our bodies can’t handle it. And that’s ok. That is temporary. Once we build our knees and hips back up, we’ll be able to do it again. So just try those things for now, and see how it works, especially the swimming. But if you swim, make sure you eat before, or after. It is very draining! I hope this helps. I need some advice myself. Some days I feel like, “what’s the point?” But I know there is one. 🙂

Tamara, thanks for sharing your success. I am so proud of you. I have been fighting in this war for 5 years. I have participated in Weight Watchers, Weighdown and now I am participating in Med180 WeightLoss. As I finish my dinner of 1/2 cup veggie and 2 wings, and water I realize that I miss eating a lot but I am not stressing out about it. I just realize that I don’t eat a lot per meal and it’s okay. I tend to spend a lot of time relaxing, resting, focusing on being peaceful so that I can enter meal times in a peaceful manner – not being compulsive or too anxious, etc. It is challenging when I have to go to events involving buffets ( at times, not all of the times but at times). It’s a decisive decision to choose good healthy food when I am on dates or social occasions where I have a choice outside of my home cooked meals. I am excited about it and realize that the way in which I am eating now and the way in which I see eating a small amount of food is NORMAL ! It’s the way that normal, fit, healthy people enjoy meals and live life = In Balance. Now let me get back to congratulating you Tamara, I am so proud to read your story and to share in your success. Keep up the good work. You are an inspiration to us all. I have kept off 57 pounds and have lost 40 pounds this year since July 3rd.
