Transformation of the Day: Stephanie lost 42 pounds. She started her journey a year ago because she wanted to be physically fit and keep up with her teenage children. She totally changed her eating habits and went from working out every other day to five days a week.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
My motivation was a desire to be more physically fit to keep up with my two teenage kids. When I wanted to give up, I used prayer to keep me going.
How did you change your eating habits?
I changed my eating habits by cutting out fast food and pop. I only ate cooked meals that I prepared myself. Also, I would limit my snacks to one cheat day, usually on Sundays. I only consumed chicken and fish, and I drank lots and lots of water.
What did your workout routine consist of?
I started working out every other day, and that eventually turned into five days a week of working out at the gym.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 270 pounds. My current weight is 228 pounds.
What is your height?
I’m 5’1″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey to lose weight a year ago. It took me the whole year, and I’m still consistent. I have my days, but for the most part, I’m working out daily.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, surgery is not apart of my journey. I’m not opposed to it, but I’d rather do it the natural way.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
I’ve learned that water is a major key to losing weight.
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
I want everyone to know that it’s never too late to start, no matter where you are in life. It’s better late than never.
