Transformation of the Day: Stephanie lost 121 pounds by adopting a Keto lifestyle. Her motivation came from a pre-diabetes diagnosis and a determination to see her twin daughter grow up.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My motivation was being diagnosed pre-diabetic and in fear of not living to see my twin daughters grow up. I want to be the best mother I can be for them.
How did you change your eating habits?
I completely cut out grains, starches, and sugars. I follow a Ketogenic lifestyle.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
My workout routine consisted of mostly walking three days per week until I lost the first 50 pounds. Now, I have graduated to doing HIIT gym workouts four days per week. [high-intensity interval training]
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 316 pounds, and I currently weigh 195 pounds.
What is your height?
I am 5’6″.
When did you start your weight loss journey?
I started my journey in 2016, so that was four years ago.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
I have never had weight loss surgery. 100% natural weight loss.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson that I’ve learned is to have patience! You can’t achieve long term results overnight, and putting in the work makes me appreciate the journey even more.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
My advice to women who want to lose weight is just START. Focus on one day at a time, one meal at a time. You didn’t gain the weight overnight, and weight loss won’t happen that quickly either. Focus on the ROUTINE, not your results, and the results will come.

What foods can I eat if I do. Keto? I currently weigh 168 @ 5′, I want to lose at least 30 to 45 pounds. Can anyone recommend a diet that can accommodate me taking Keppra (seizure medication) ? I know I need to start walking again and will do so while working from home
