Simone lost 53 pounds with healthier eating habits and exercise. What keeps her motivated to keep going and making progress are her son and her faith in God.
What was your motivation?
My motivation for my journey is my son and God.
How did you change your eating habits?
I wanted to live a healthier life for my son, so I gave up sugar, soda, rice, and meat.
What did your workout routine consist of?
I did cardio and strength training. I work out seven days per week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 348 pounds, and my current weight is 295 pounds.
What is your height?
My height is 5’8″.
When did you start your journey?
I started my journey on September 22, 2020. I’m not where I want to be, but I have to trust the process.
Was weight loss surgery part of your journey?
Weight loss surgery was not part of my journey. I thought about it. However, I told myself that if I fail on my own, then that’s something I would consider.
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I learned is never to give up. I also learned to stick with what works for me!
What advice would you like to share?
It’s not how you start but how you finish! Weight loss is never easy, but never give up. It will be worth it in the end.
