Transformation of the Day: Shaunte lost 73 pounds. Being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis was the wakeup call that caused her to commit to a new lifestyle. With the support of her trainer, family and friends, she’s been able to stay focused and committed to her goals. Check out how she lost the weight.
What was your motivation?
My motivation was my desire to finally feel comfortable in my skin and to be healthy. I was overweight all my life, so I’d never experienced what it was like to be at a healthy weight. Being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) was a wake up call for me. I learned that if I lived a healthy lifestyle it would help my MS symptoms and my overall health. My inspiration was my trainer, my family and my friends. My trainer has been instrumental in my success and has been there with me every step of the way. I know that if I had a bad day, he would make sure that I get back on track. My family and friends has been extremely supportive as well.
How did you change your eating habits?
I stopped living to eat and started eating to live. Therefore, I totally changed my eating habits. I stopped eating bread, sugar, fatty and fried foods and dairy. I also limited my salt intake and began drinking only water. I started eating lean meats, fruits, vegetables and good fats. I kick started my weight loss journey with the TLS 21 Day Challenge [Low glycemic index eating plan].
What did your workout routines look like?
I worked with a personal trainer, so I did every type of routine imaginable. I did cardio, aerobics, fat burning exercises, boxing, arm, leg and ab exercises, etc. I workout about 4-5 times a week.
What was you starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight at the beginning of this journey was 283 pounds and my current weight is 210 pounds. I am 5′ 4″ tall.
How long did your transformation take?
My weight loss transformation took four months. My focus now is tightening and toning. I am also working to lose 20 more pounds.
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
My advice would be, Never give up, no matter what. This journey won’t be easy, but it is definitely worth it, so keep fighting and your hard work will pay off in the end.

Well Done! I have been dealing with MS myself for a little more than 14yrs & I must say- that along with the extra weight makes for an unhappy body! I’m back on track for a month now(eating clean & walking)and each day I’m feeling A Lot better-less flare ups! I tip my hat to you & keep up the Awesome Work!
