Transformation of the Day: Rysse lost 63 pounds. She shared with us that part of her motivaiton is that she doesn’t want to lose another organ due to bad eating habits. She started her journey after having emergency surgery. By making practical changes to her eating habits and working out 3-5 days a week, she has transfomed.
When did you start your journey?
My journey started in April 2020 after I had to have emergency Gallbladder surgery due to an existing health condition that I didn’t take seriously until it was too late. It was so bad that my liver was getting infected.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My motivation is loving myself enough not to give up on myself, even on rough days. Also, I didn’t want them to take another organ because of my bad eating habits. Most importantly, my children inspire me.
How did you change your eating habits?
I stopped eating beef and drinking plain white milk. I was addicted to drinking milk. I stopped drinking juice and soda because I was addicted to those drinks as well). I eat other foods and beverages in moderation. I began to eat more green veggies and drinking a gallon of water a day.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
I work out 3-5 days a week. My routine consists of weight training, walking, running, and hiking. I’m getting into HIIT at home for those rainy days.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 280 pounds, and my current weight is 217 pounds. I just want to inspire everyone and let them know they are not alone in this journey.
What is your height?
5’7″
How long did your transformation take?
Eight months
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, I didn’t have weight loss surgery.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
My biggest lesson was not being too hard on myself. I also learned that it’s a lifestyle change, not a “microwave quick” fix.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
Please enjoy YOUR journey and don’t compare yourself with other people. Love on yourself, and drink your water.
