Rushelle lost 38 pounds. She was tired of feeling sluggish and out of breath. High blood pressure was also a concern. She got results by cutting carbs, drinking lots of water, and working out regularly.
7/4/19 vs. 7/4/20 – 255 pounds to 217 pounds
What was your motivation?
I started this journey to feel my absolute best. I was sick and tired of being tired all the time. I was tired of feeling sluggish and out of breath. I’ve lost 38 pounds, and I still have 40 more to go.
When did you start your journey?
I was working out here and there but got serious in July 2019. I originally started working out because of high blood pressure, and because I was tired of feeling heavy.
What is your height?
I’m 5’8″.
How did you change your eating habits?
I cut the amount of carbs and sugar that I consume. I also started drinking way more water than usual.
What does your workout routine consist of? How often do you workout?
I work out six days a week for 45 minutes to an hour. My workouts consist of cardio and strength training right now. When I started this journey, I did mostly weight training.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
I learned that consistency is key, and if you put in the work, it will pay off.
What advice would you like to what with women who are trying to lose weight?
I would tell them to do a little each day and don’t try to beat themselves up if the results are not showing up fast enough. It is a marathon, not a sprint. Keep pushing! I would also tell them to LOVE themselves throughout the whole process. #LifeTimeChange
