Transformation of the Day: Rosalin lost 181 pounds. She opted for surgery, changed her eating habits and worked out regularly to get results and create a healthier lifestyle. She is no longer suffering with high blood pressure, high cholesterol and pre-diabetes. Check out her story.
Hello, I’m Rosalin B and I want to share my weight loss journey with you. The decision to begin this transformation was a big step for me. My motivation was seeing a few of my friends who were losing weight and looking healthy. They motivated me to get on board. Also, my daughter and my husband inspired me to not give up. I had the Gastric Sleeve weight loss surgery done on 07/21/15, and I’m so glad I made that choice.
I had to change my eating habits. I only eat small portions of food. All the fast foods, fried foods and soda had to go. I began eating Low Carbs, which meant no pasta, bread or white rice. If I didn’t change my eating habits, I never would have lost the weight.
I also do alot of walking, 3 to 4 miles twice a week. I hit the gym twice a week as well.
I started this journey 4 years ago. It took a year and a half to really transform. My highest weight was 390 pounds. My starting weight was 365 pounds. My current weight is 209 pounds, so I’m 9 pounds away from my goal weight of 200 lbs. I’m 5’4″. I’m focused on staying motivated and staying strong as I continue my journey.
My advice to people who are struggling with their weight: Exercise as much as you can. Look at your life and your family. If you want to be around to see them grow, and if you want to live a long life, definitely consider gastric weight loss surgery if that is an option. I had a lot of health problems when I was at my heaviest, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol and boarder line diabetes. Now, I have no high signs of any of those conditions. I’m feeling healthier and I have more energy.
