Transformation of the Day: Rhonda lost 82 pounds. She wanted to be more active and not have to take medication anymore. She found a eating regimen that works for her and worked out 3-4 days a week. Check out what she shared with us about her journey.
I started my weight loss journey on May 18 2015 and I’m still still committed and seeing progress. At the time, I weighed 264.2 pounds. My height is 5’3″. I started with the Military Diet and I exercised 3 to 4 days a week. I drank 5 to 6 bottles of water a day and baked all my food. As of today, I’ve lost 82 pounds, down to 182 pounds even. I still work out 3-4 days a week.
What was your motivation?
What motivated me was that I wanted to be able to run and be active with my nephews. The thing that inspired me to lose weight was that I didn’t want to be on any medication any more.
How did you change your eating habits?
I started with the 3 day Military Diet which is the diet is a 3 days on, 4 days off weight loss plan with very specific meals. [More info] I changed my eating habits by not going to fast food restaurants. I eat baked chicken and fish. I also eat lots of fruits, vegetables and protein bars.
What did you do in terms of exercise?
On Mondays, I do weight lifting. Tuesdays, I do kickboxing class. On Wednesdays, I do pilates and Thursdays I’m lifting weights. I just recently went back to my personal trainer and I’m working on toning up. I spend 1 hour each day exercising.
What is your advice for other people who want to lose weight?
Stay positive. Keep going.
