What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My motivation came from simply wanting to be healthier and to feel comfortable in my clothes. Honestly, I was inspired by knowing what the results would be if I continued to be consistent.
How did you change your eating habits?
I was a Vegan. Then I started incorporating seafood occasionally for the omega 3s. My meals were mainly plant-based and pescatarian.
I eat what I want to eat in moderation while maintaining a calorie deficit to optimize my results. In addition to what I eat, I drink mostly water and Kombucha.
What is your workout routine?
My workout routine consists of full body workouts 4-5 days a week and spinning twice a week.
How often did you work out?
I work out 4-5 days a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 228 pounds. My current weight is 178 pounds.
What is your height?
I’m 5’4″.
When did you start your journey?
I started my journey in March 2021.
How long did your transformation take?
To actually see real results took about 14 months.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey? No, I didn’t have surgery.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
If you’re not consistent in obtaining your goals, you will always be in a stagnant place that can be demotivating. That can play heavily on your mental and emotional health.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Start by doing something active, whether it’s just walking for 30 minutes a day. Try to be consistent in doing one physically active thing first.
When you jump head first and try to go hard on day one, you typically don’t stick with it. The key is to develop a consistent pattern and routines. When you achieve that, everything else will follow.
Eat in moderation, but don’t deprive yourself of what you love to eat because you will not maintain healthy eating habits that way. Give your body time to reset. Intermittent fasting is a great way to do this. It will also help you get into a caloric deficit, which will produce major weight loss results.
