Rebecca lost 33 pounds by going Keto and working out. She had gone through a lot in her life, and ultimately, she just wanted to live in complete happiness and good health. By cutting out foods that would not help her reach her goals and celebrating each victory, she is transforming.
What was your motivation?
I was just tired of it all. My niece was about to be born, and I didn’t want her to view me as the “fat” and “lazy” auntie. I wanted her to see me as the Rich, Fun, and Fabulous auntie.
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
Honestly, I have been through so much already. I just wanted to live the rest of my life in complete happiness. I talked to myself told myself things like, “My future self will thank me.”
How did you change your eating habits?
I simply stopped eating food that I knew wouldn’t benefit me on this journey. I followed a Ketogenic lifestyle. I stopped eating foods that are high in carbs, like pasta, rice, and bread. I replaced them with alternatives. Examples: Instead of eating rice, I had cauliflower. Instead of pasta, I ate zucchini noodles.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
Since I restarted my weight loss Journey during the pandemic, I didn’t want to risk going to the gym, so I dedicated an hour to myself and worked out at home. I use Youtube exercise videos, and I work out four times a week, Monday-Thursday.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 275 pounds, and my current weight is 242 pounds.
What is your height?
5’8″
When did you start your journey?
I started in December 2020, but I fell off track, so I would say I officially started on January 4, 2021.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I learned to stop blaming outside circumstances. You are living the life you choose to put up with.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Start Now. It’s not as difficult as you think it is. Celebrate every victory. I don’t care if you just lose an ounce. Make sure you enjoy your journey.
