When I stepped on the scale in August 2014 and it read 186 pounds. I realized that was the heaviest weight I had ever been. At only 5 feet tall, I knew I had to do something to stay healthy and get fit.
I began by changing my eating habits. I stopped eating beef, pork and chicken. I started eating more healthy options. I also started eating more fruits and vegetables on a daily basis. Drinking smoothies helped me replace meals some meals. I stopped eating fried foods and processed foods as well.
I also began a workout regiment that would help me meet my goals. I work out 3-4 times a week, focusing more on cardio and weights. I also enjoy running or walking outside. I workout for 30 minute for each workout session.
I am currently at 152 pounds and I feel fantastic! It has taken two years for me to meet this goal, but it was all worth it.
What inspired me to keep going was groups like yours and other fitness pages on Instagram. Through groups, pages and social media channels, I found different workouts and lots of information on healthy eating to help me lose the weight and keep it off.
The advice I have for others who are trying to lose weight is to keep going and never give up on yourself. The journey isn’t easy, but it’s all worth it. Also, pictures do not lie! Your progress pictures will present a true picture of your weight loss progress.
