I have been on a journey for years now and finally got serious about it because I want to grow a family with my husband of two years. I have kept it simple by cooking more, drinking more water, walking more, and not eating so late. I’ve lost 25 pounds.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My motivation is my health. I knew that I was not where I once was. I could feel it physically.
When I wanted to give up, I would take a break so that I would not burn out. However, to truly keep me motivated, I would look at old photos of myself and remember how happy and energetic I was. That would keep me moving forward.
How did you change your eating habits?
I changed my eating habits by eating at home more, not eating late at night, and drinking plenty of water.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
On average, I walked or went to the gym about two times a week.
What is your height?
I am 5’10”.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
This transformation has taken about ten weeks. My husband and I made a bet! He won by .4% body fat!
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
Consistency is key! However, don’t be too hard on yourself.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Have small goals, weekly goals, or even daily goals. Those add up! Don’t be too hard on yourself.
