Transformation of the Day:Ā Parys lost 46kg/102 pounds. She was constantly tired, very self-conscious, and struggled to get out of bed in the morning. By walking for exercise, eating high-protein meals, and adopting a new mindset, she has truly transformed.Ā
Those who know me personally know that I have been overweight for a good while. It’s a common struggle for a lot of people. The pandemic didn’t exactly help the situation, with everyone being under lockdown. I mean, let’s be honest, the only thing we could do is work, sleep, eat, and repeat!Ā
I have struggled with my weight for such a long time, tried to lose weight many times, and often failed due to my impatience and the fact that I love fried chicken, lol. I need you guys to understand I was someone who literally couldn’t get out of bed in the mornings. I was constantly tired, and I used to breathe so heavily. Don’t get me started on clothes! I never stepped foot in a gym because I was so self-conscious and felt intimidated anytime I went. Being overweight generally made me feel like CRAP!
With hard work and consistency, I have lost 46kg (more than 7 stone!! That’s a child’s weight!) I can’t stress enough how much my life has changed, not to mention how much my health, physical appearance, and mindset have improved.
I don’t have many achievements in life; however, I hope to inspire someone out there and show that weight loss is achievable. Honestly, if little old me can do it, ANYBODY CAN!Ā
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
What inspired me to keep going was my gut feeling that I knew this wasn’t who I was meant to be [old self].Ā
How did you change your eating habits?Ā
I followed a high protein diet.
What did your workout routine consist of?
I was too shy to go to the gym, so I started walking outdoors in the evenings. I would track my steps and do 20,000+ steps a day.
How often did you work out?
I would go walking five times a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 270 pounds, and my current weight is 168 pounds.
What is your height?
173cm – 5ft, 8 inches
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey in 2020. It took me nine and a half months to lose 98 pounds.Ā
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No surgery.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I’ve learned to pick faith over fear. The only limit is our minds. Once we learn to love our bodies, our bodies will love us back.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
If I can do it, I have faith that you can. I am living proof that it is achievable.

Congratulations, I like to see the weight lost without surgery (Iām not knocking those who had the surgery) however, seeing the weight drop with dedication has help me stay focus.
