Omolewa lost 18 pounds. She was dealing with several health concerns and wanted to get into better physical condition. By mixing us her workout routine and cutting back on carbs and sugar, she has transformed.
What was your motivation? I have chronic pain, and the extra weight I was carrying was not helping. At the beginning of the year, my goal was to get to 155 pounds by my birthday on April 3rd.
I decided I needed to make a change. Though I was not extremely heavy, the extra weight I was carrying was uncomfortable. I am used to being smaller. I also have numerous health issues and felt the better physical conditioning would help with some concerns.
In January, I participated in a month-long challenge with Blogilates. For the next two months, I did yoga in the mornings (10-30 minutes) and various Youtube challenges in afternoons.
How did you change your eating habits?
I did a pseudo-Keto diet with no sugar and limited carbs. I used meal kits a lot (Hello Fresh and Every Plate). Another thing I think help was the vibration plate I bought.
What did your workout routine consist of? I would switch up my exercise routines throughout my journey, from walking to yoga to cardio and strength training routines.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 173 pounds, and I got to 155 pounds.
What is your height? 5’6″
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No surgery
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight? Just do something. A little bit of something is better than nothing! It’s a journey that is not going to happen overnight. Also, don’t be hard on yourself. Stick with it.
