Let’s show some love to Nicole who has lost 112 pounds! Check out Nicole’s story below.
She says,
I love this website!! In this pic I was at my heaviest approximately 267 pounds. I always worked out, but was not seeing results partially because I was not taking my diet seriously, but later I find out that I had polycystic ovarian syndrome which causes an embalance in the hormones and makes it difficult to lose weight. It was recommended by my OBGYN that I have weight loss surgery. Four years later after relocating to Miami I had the sleeve weight loss surgery. To date I have lost a total of 112 pounds by working out five to six days per a week, switching up my workouts, and portion control. If I can do it, anyone can!!

Congrats! I have also been diagnosed with polycyctic ovarian syndrome. I find myself going to the gym and seeing little results as well. I am not completly sold on the weighloss surgery, but I see myself moving closer to that place. Im going to give it another go and then if it doesn’t work I will be seeking medical intervention. Thanks for sharing your story, its nice to know Im not the only with this medicial condition. Keep up the good work.
Nicole says

Thank you for sharing your story! Its great to hear you are on the road to weight loss success and I know your results will be amaze!!!!
Tamel says
Congrats on your weight loss! I also have PCOS and it has been difficult for me lose weight also. However, after doing a master reboot by juicing fruits and vegetables, and then eliminating/significantly decreasing my intake of bread, grains (rice and pasta),and root vegetables (potatoes etc), and eating cleaner, I began to see significant weight loss. B/c of our hormone imbalance, those foods just don’t agree with us and it makes it very difficult to lose weight.
Nicole says
Hi Tamel,
That is so true!! I always joke and say I might as well be outside grazing grass because a PCOS diet is very restrictive! However I realized that’s the best way to eat for great weight loss results!! Keep up the good work!!
Debra Ann says
U Look Great ! I am so proud to smile with you and to celebrate your success !! YEAH !! FABULOUS !!

EC says
You look great! How did u avoid loose skin?
Nicole says
Hi EC,
Thanks for the support. I have managed to avoid loose skin for the most part. I have a small spot in my midsection that is loose, but for the most part my skin bounced back. I avoid loose skin in most areas by lifting weights and switching up my workouts.

It’s great to see your story has touched many people who are dealing with PCOS. I am a mother to a 4yr old and let me say…..it wasn’t easy becoming pregnant.I have thought about seeking help tp shed weight….could you share more information, about the sleeve?
Nicole says
Hi,
The sleeve is a procedure where they remove approx. 60% of your stomach to make it about the size of an egg. Typically a person will lose an average of 75 pounds. I was able to lose more because I was so crazy in the gym 5-7days a week. I don’t recommend that. Lol. Five days is enough. You can read more about the sleeve by googling Dr.Jorge Rabazza in Miami, Florida. That will link you to his office page and tell you more about the sleeve. I hope I helped. Good luck to you on your journey :)!!
Nicole says
Hi Candy,
I apologize, I spelled the docs wrong. It’s Jorge Rabaza. He’s amazing and gives good info on the website!
Cynthia says
I also have PCOS and have had great difficulty losing weight. I recently got frustrated with my metabolic state and drug myself to an Endocrinologist. I knew as a nurse I was headed to failure if there wasn’t an intervention of great measure. My Endocrinologist agreed. I was slowly creeping towards 280lbs, diabetes, and everything that goes with the diagnosis of PCOS. I unfortunately had been treated for PCOS because I didn’t have a desire to have a baby. Fortunately, I had my children young not realizing the blessing while raising them. Anyhow, metformin…I finally see the results from my tireless hours at the gym. I have lost roughly 28lbs so far and hope to one day have my pics posted with my story. Congrats on your weight loss. I hope to make more women aware of the struggles of PCOS, sadly most of us find out through devastating circumstances (difficulty getting pregnant, diabetes, morbid obesity, heart disease).
Nicole says
Hi Cynthia,
Thank you for sharing your story. PCOS is something that is rarely talked about. I’m glad to hear women having an open discussion and providing awareness to women that may not otherwise know about it. Good luck to you on your journey!!!

Life is full of challenges, its only one thing that can harm in the mist of things, lack of faith.I am so proud of you! You did something that give up on in the matter of weeks. You inspire me!I have lost 27lbs since April. Baby steps but I hope to follow in your steps. Love you cousin. God Bless
Nicole says
Thanx cousin!! I’m super happy for you and I am behind him 1,000%!! Handle that!!!
Tara says
How were you diagnosed with PCOS. A friend of mine brought it to my attention not long ago. i have a lot of menstrual issues, problems with weight loss etc… What tests did you have done to determine that PCOS was the root cause of your inability to lose weight. I went on a diet and exercise regimen for 2 months and gained 5 lbs. Needless to say that is discouraging and I again fell off the wagon. I just want to get the weight off and keep it off and set a better example for my young son.
Marica says
Tara,
I was diagnosed with PCOS by my gynocologist. Some of the diagnosis came from my symptoms and my menstral history. I only had to take one test. When reading the symptoms of PCOS, I could be the poster child.
NIcole,
Thanks for sharing your story. It’s wonderful to see that people who are just like you can do lose weight and have done it. The beginning is always the hardest. Additionally, it’s nice to know that you are not alone with PCOS. It’s hard to explain the PCOS challenges to my famiy, especially when it comes to weight loss.
Nicole says
Marcia,
Thank you for sharing your journey. PCOS is no fun, but hopefully with education your family will understand PCOS. I wish you the best of luck on your journey!!! 🙂
Tara says
Also congratulations on your weight loss! You look amazing and are definitely an inspiration. 🙂
Nicole says
Tara,
Thanks again for the support 🙂
LaShawn says
Hi Nicole,
First of all, you look AMAZING! Congrats to you on your wonderful transformation! I did have a question if you don’t mind sharing.
What clothing size were you at your heaviest (pants/shirt) and what size are you now? The reason I ask is because I am currently around the same size you started at and would like to lose about 100 lbs also. I know people carry weight differently so I’m always interested in how many sizes a person dropped with weight loss.
Hope to hear back from you! 🙂
Nicole says
Hi LaShawn,
I am happy to answer your questions. At my heaviest I was a size 22/24. I am now a size 8 and small/medium in shirts. Depending on the type of shirt. However remember everyone is shaped differently. I am well endowed in the butt and hip area. LOL. Therefore my top is smaller than my bottom. Its great to hear that you are on your weight loss journey. Good luck to you and I can’t wait to see your before and after pics!!
LaShawn says
Thanks so much! 🙂
Umara Muhammad says
I have PCOS and I am working hard to improve my health and lose weight. I have lost about 50lbs already and I hope lose more. Did your doctor say your PCOS improve?
Nicole says
Hi Umara,
Yes, based on my last ultrasound, it appears my PCOS has improved!!
Candice says
Congrats on those with pcos and have lost weight. So far, I understood that metaformin , clean eating , are there any more weight loss tips,. I work out like crazy but my diet is usually decent I have been incorporating more fruits and vegetables . I usually do good but then I stress out and eat everything in sight. I weigh 193 and I don’t think I will be a candidate for the surgery.
Nicole says
Hi Candace,
You should consult your physician regarding the surgery. Weight is not the only determining factor in approval for surgery. Height, predisposition to various health conditions. Also PCOS can be a factor. I’m not a doctor, but the only health issue that I had was high cholesterol and PCOS. If your interested talk to your doc. Although it sounds like your doing well on your journey
