What is your motivation?
The turning point: I was very irritated by the fact that my BMI (Body Mass Index) was way above normal. One fine day, I decided that I needed to put sincere effort into being the best version of myself, and that is when things started to change.
Motivation comes and goes. Discipline is what is needed and is hard to develop. You can not teach discipline. It must be self-learned. Get used to saying no and embrace it. Do the hard things often.
How did you change your eating habits?
I started fasting (16:8). I eat more fruits, low-fat dairy products (low-fat milk and low-fat yogurt), vegetables, and whole-grain foods at home and work. I’ve focused on adding healthy food to my diet rather than just taking unhealthy foods away.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
My routine included cardio, strength training, core exercises, and flexibility and stretching.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 230 pounds, and my current weight is 180 pounds. I’ve always struggled with big breasts, so I recently had a breast reduction on November 2, 2021.
What is your height?
My height is 5’5″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey in June 2021. It took me four months to transform.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned so far is to eat responsibly and mindfully.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
The most important way to stay motivated to lose weight is to be willing to forgive yourself when you make a mistake or slip-up. Stay motivated to lose weight, set achievable and measurable goals, keep a food diary, and find a friend to hold you accountable.
