Transformation of the Day: Natasha lost 65 pounds. After she found out that she was pre-diabetic and had an ovarian cyst, she decided to try a plant-based diet. She also committed to regular exercise. Check out her results.
When did you start your journey?
I started in April 2016, so it’s taken about 16 months.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 193 pounds and my current weight is 127.4 pounds. My height is 5’3″
What was your motivation?
First, it was health concerns. I found out that I was pre-diabetic and I had ovarian cyst. I also wanted to improve my self-confidence and to be comfortable in my clothing and my own skin.
What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
Thinking about my future self and a fear of having to use needles to take insulin due to diabetes.
How did you change your eating habits?
I changed to a Pescatarian diet [Vegetarian who eats fish]. I naturally reversed my medical issues following a vegetarian lifestyle for a year. Now, I’ve been a vegan for the last 3 months. I only eat whole grain and organic products.
What did your workout routine look like?
Cardio and calisthenics 2 to 4 days a week.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
Trust the process and take it one day at time. Love the body you are in, always.
What advice do you have for other people who want to lose weight?
Trust the process and do not compare yourself or your journey to others. Just start.
