Update January 2018: Natasha has kept the weight off and lost 2 more dress sizes since we featured her story in June. We asked her to share about how she did it.
Current Weight: 161.0 pounds
Weight Lost: 23.2 lbs
Starting Dress Size: 12
Current Dress Size: 4
How have you continued to make progress?
During the times when I feel overwhelmed or overworked, and life is throwing every curve ball that could possibly come my way, I still remind myself that I have a goal to meet and I’m just getting started. On this journey, I haven’t been 100% faithful but I haven’t given up. That’s what keeps me going. That’s what keeps me from giving up. Each day, I start back over. If I miss one, two days or three days, I get back up and I go for it like I never missed a beat.
What has worked in terms of your eating habits and what worked in terms of exercise?
I stick to the basics. I don’t try to add to or take away from what I’ve learned from my nutritionist. Substituting foods and using healthy food ideas has been a tremendous help. Drinking water has really helped me to stay full. At one time, I felt like I wasn’t even eating enough. Eating breakfast really makes a big difference for me. I also stopped late-night snacking, which I once loved… but that’s old news for me.
What lesson stands out the most?
I’ve learned that eating and falling short is all in my control. Self-control is a huge part of this journey. You just have to do it. Be like Nike! Get up, exercise, eat clean and you will get results. The more you do, the more results you’ll get. The less you do, the less results.
At this point, would you offer any new or different advice to people who want to lose weight?
Consistency. If you fall short, pick back up and continue to move forward. Going backwards is not an option. You got this. You’re in full control. This thing is personal, so get to where you want to be… not to where others may think you should be.
Natasha lost 22 pounds and 2 dress sizes. She wasn’t happy with herself or the fact that she was complaining about her weight, but not doing anything to solve her weight problem. Healthy eating, resistance training and guidance from an online training program was the answer. Check out her story.

What was your motivation?
My main motivation was that I wasn’t happy with myself. I definitely wasn’t happy with the lack of energy I was experiencing. I also didn’t like the fact that I was laying around complaining about my weight, but never did anything to solve the problem. Seeing before and after pictures and hearing other people share their stories gave me the courage I needed to say “Let’s give this a try.” I knew that I was the only person who was stopping me from meeting my goals
On my 33rd birthday, I took a trip to Jamaica. I found out that I was going on September 1st and left on September 23rd, so there was no time to lose weight prior to leaving. Trust me, I enjoyed my trip. The only thing I didn’t enjoy is how long it took me to find clothes for the trip that fit comfortably. I wanted clothing that didn’t show cellulite, that my legs didn’t rub together in and that my stomach didn’t look so big in.
After returning from my trip I made up my mind that I wanted to be free and comfortable. I wanted to enjoy life and enjoy the skin that I’m in.
How did you change your eating habits?
I refrained from fast food. No more late-night eating and nothing after 8 p.m. I also started eating breakfast and drinking plenty of water, which makes a huge difference in my day. I replaced chips and cookies and started eating more veggies and fruits instead. I began trying things I never thought I would try, like brussel sprouts, only to find out they actually taste good.
What did your workouts consist of?
I workout 4-5 times weekly, for 60 to 90 minutes, doing resistance training as part of the workout regimen provided by my online trainer, “King of the Fire” to help me achieve my results.
How long did your transformation take?
I started on February 23, 2017. Three weeks later, I could see results and a real difference in the way my body looked. I took pictures daily and comparing the pictures helped to motivate me and keep me going.
What advice do you have for other people who want to lose weight?
Know that the weight is not going to leave overnight. Be patient with yourself. Don’t give up! Push, even when life throws you curveballs. Don’t let yourself down. Make it to the Finish Line. The size YOU desire is waiting for you.
Why did the “Fitness on Fire” Online Training Program work for you vs other programs you’ve tried before?
It’s affordable and I can be stress free while receiving the help I need to meet my goals. I also don’t feel locked into anyone else’s schedule. I can do it at my own pace.
