What is your current weight loss total?
My current total weight loss was 200 pounds: 210 lbs all natural weight loss in 2015 Pre-Vegan, minus a smooth 10lb GAIN in 2019 Pre-Vegan of Pure Plant Muscle!
How have you maintained your weight loss/continued to lose weight?
Just a few years ago, in 2015, I reached my goal of losing 195 pounds all naturally (no surgery, waist trainers, supplements, or gimmicks required). I was thrilled with the results and felt even MORE confident in my appearance. However, the real struggle came in maintaining my weight.
Having to continually watch what I ate, count calories, and the social element of Major Weight Loss as a Woman… every day was incredibly stressful. I felt like I was constantly fighting a mental and social battle and not getting anywhere.
It didn’t help that I was still eating a diet rich in animal products, like meat and dairy, while happily unaware of their interconnectivity. I resigned to the idea that my weight would always fluctuate depending on the season, my menstrual time, and my age. Oh, how wrong I was.
But then, in 2019, I decided to go vegan overnight after learning about the disastrous effects of animal agriculture on our environment. You know what? Not only was I making a difference for our planet – I was also helping myself.

Which of the lessons you’ve learned on your journey stands out the most at this point?
The key for me was connecting the dots between my mental and physical health and being an informed consumer. Recognizing the interconnection was the biggest lesson I learned. In addition, Self-love, Self-Discipline, and Self-Accountability are crucial to weight loss, gain, management, and life change! Motivation gets you started; discipline, self-love & accountability sustains your change!
Would you like to offer new or different advice to women wanting to lose weight?
Of Course! I’m sure many of you’ve heard the saying, “you are what you eat,” but what’s more important than that is how you think about food and why it motivates you. It’s easy to get caught up in the latest fad diet or the newest celebrity-endorsed eating plan, but if you don’t have the right mindset and discipline, it won’t last. Your mindset and discipline should be rooted in understanding yourself as a person and making conscious choices regarding food and nutrition. Becoming an informed consumer is an important step towards better health, both for you personally and for society as a whole.
Another thing you should focus on is self-care and self-love. Take the time to really get to know yourself, your needs, and your wants. This will help you become the best version of yourself and ensure your diet works for you. That’s why I created an online school for women’s holistic wellness – to provide an empowering, supportive space with all the resources and guidance Queens need to make the transition to healthier eating and a healthier lifestyle.
I created Vegan Soul Work University for women & gentlewomen to identify cultural health disparities, coach them on how to transform their mental & physical health, and fight our climate crisis & human health pandemics with an online school & courses in an empowering space.
At the end of the day, eating well isn’t just about dieting. It’s about understanding and respecting your body. You must give yourself the time, attention, and love you deserve to make sustainable changes.
So take the time to really understand yourself, your body, and your motivations when it comes to food. This will help you stay motivated and put you on the path to achieving your health and wellness goals.
