What was your motivation? What inspired you?
I’m turning 40 this year and I told myself I was done being overweight. I was determined to be fit by 40. I was always looking at other women’s weight loss success stories and wishing I could achieve my goals like they did. Then, I came across the story of a woman that had success with the Fitness on Fire online program. I began watching videos of all these women and their transformations and decided to take a chance. It was one of the best decisions I could have ever made.
The Fitness on Fire program gives you guidance, the tools you need to be successful, and a personalized program designed to meet your needs. It is an online program, but you have access to the nutritionist and personal trainer anytime you have a question or concern. All the other programs I have every tried were “quick fixes” or 20 lbs in 2 weeks type of programs, but not this time. They will tell you from the very beginning that this is a process and you need to trust them. I did just that and am finally reaching my goals!
How did you change your eating habits?
I followed the guidelines I received from the program’s nutritionist, Nutritionist Guru. She taught me the importance of eating a balanced meal. I began to eat lean white meats, fruit, vegetables, and healthy carbohydrates. I also learned the importance of drinking plenty of water. I stopped eating fried greasy food, fast food and junk food (chips, cookies, candy, and ice cream). I began eating a lot more fruit, if I needed something sweet. (Eventually your body will begin to crave fruit.)
What did your workout routine consist of?
My workouts consist of a lot of resistance training. I work out 4-5 times a week for 75-90 minutes. I followed the workout regimen given to me by my online trainer, King of the Fire, which was best suited to help me achieve results.
How long did your transformation take?
I’ve been on my journey for 4 months now.
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
It’s never too late to start. Just commit to it and stick with it, even when you don’t see any progress just know that it’s working. It’s okay if you mess up just keep going and don’t quit. Stay away from the scale it will only discourage you. Surround yourself with positive people who will encourage you along the way.
