Mirane lost 27 pounds. After struggling for years to lose weight, she found that intermittent fasting, cardio, and a low carb diet works for her. Check out her story.
I’ve struggled with being overweight my entire life. Although I had no health concerns growing up, my confidence definitely hit a low point when I was in my early 20. To fit in with my circle of friends, I joined a gym and started a strict diet. I had dropped more than 40 pounds.
After finding love, I slowly started to let myself go to the point that my ex didn’t want to be seen with me anymore. As the years went by, I slowly put on weight, eventually reaching my heaviest: 206 pounds at 5’5″.
After numerous attempts, I started this journey in June 2019. I finally found the motivation to work out and prepare my meals in advance. To help boost my metabolism, I’ve decided to eat all five of my meals within a 2.5 hour window. I’ve also cut down my intake of junk food and sugar. I’ve switched to a low carb diet that is high in protein.
I work out four times a week. I primarily do cardio, which includes hiking, elliptical, treadmill, and power walking.
I currently weigh 179 pounds. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that anything is possible with strong determination. I’m a testament to that.
Weight loss isn’t just a challenge, but it’s a collection of lifestyle choices that have become lifesavers for me. My advice for people who want to lose weight: Never give up.
