I have battled with my weight for 11 years. In March 2017, decided to go on a healthy journey to release some weight. I have successfully lost 82 pounds
What was your motivation?
My motivation was that I wanted to better my heath. I had high blood pressure. I also have a family history of diabetes.
How did you change your eating habits?
I stopped eating junk food. I replaced all the bad foods that I was eating with good, healthy foods. I also drink plenty of water.
What did your workout routine look like?
I became an avid walker. I walk 3 to 4 times a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 315 pounds. My current weight is 233 pounds. With 82 pounds gone, I have gained a healthier me and improved my life overall. I lost this naturally (without surgery). I’m still on my journey and have not met my goal yet, but I’m working towards it each day.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson that I’ve learned is that there are consequences for what you eat.
What advice do you have for other women who want to lose weight?
The one thing I would like share with other women is this: “Never give up on yourself.”
