Update 6/2016: Mia has lost 12 more pounds! “I’ve lost 12 more pounds for a total of 75 pounds gone. I cut out carbs and added apple cider vinegar to my routine.”
On a Mission: Mia lost 63 pounds. She was motivated by realizing how much the extra pounds were affecting her health and mobility. She had a great support system rooting for her and she gives the glory to God for helping her to change her life. Check out her story.
I lost 63 pounds and I have 17 more lbs to go! I’m so happy with my lifestyle change. I give all the glory to God! I know that HEALTHY EATING IS KEY!
My motivation was walking up the stairs in my apartment and being completely out of breath. My knees would also hurt. What inspired me was everyone cheering me on during this journey. I knew that there are people depending on me to make it to my goal.
I changed my eating habits my starting with homemade smoothies. I started eating more fruits and veggies and cut out other carbs. I also have one cheat meal a week.
I work out 6 days a week at Planet Fitness. I also take Zumba class 3 days a week. I fell off the wagon for 3 months during my journey, but got back on track.
My starting weight was 255 pounds and my current weight is 192 pounds. My height is 5’6″.It took me 11 months to lose the weight and I have 17 lbs left to go to reach my goal weight of 175 pounds. My advice for others would be start your journey in the kitchen and don’t give up.
