Transformation of the Day: Mary lost 46 pounds by being consistent and disciplined. She wasn’t happy with what she saw in the mirror, so in March she began to transform her lifestyle with exercise and healthy food. Now, she feels better than ever. Check out her journey.
I started out at 216 pounds, but with a consistent diet, discipline, and cardio, I’ve gone down to my goal weight of 170 pounds. I still have some work to do, but I’m definitely proud of myself!
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going when you
wanted to give up?
I was unhappy with what I saw when I looked at myself in the mirror. I felt very unattractive.
How did you change your eating habits?
I began to cut out meat and fried food slowly. Now, I’m a pescatarian. I also cut my starches down to 2 times a week. Also, I don’t drink soda or juice.
Tell us more about your exercise routine.
I started by working out on the elliptical 2-3 times a week for 15-20 min. Gradually, I increased my workouts to 3-5 times a week, doing 30-45 minutes of exercise per session.
What is your height?
5’8″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started in March 2019. I began to notice significant results in May, which motivated me to keep going.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
That we are in total control of ourselves. We just have to be strong, and we have to focus. I’m getting to where I want to be, and I’m happier than I’ve been in years!
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
If you really want it, you can do it.
