What was your motivation?
My motivation was that I wanted to live. The majority of my family has diabetes and heart disease, but I am determined to beat it and be the change.
What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
I remember how far I have come. I remember that I want to teach my family healthy lifestyle techniques and how to eat. I also want to be healthy for my future.
How did you change your eating habits? I am currently on a low carb, high fat Ketogenic diet. I stopped eating processed foods and sugars. I only use coconut flour, erythiol, stevia and healthy fats when I’m cooking.
What did your workout routine look like?
I walk and swim often. I workout for 30 minutes or more each day.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
I started at 292 pounds and I currently weigh 240 pounds. My height is 5’2″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
January. 2, 2018. It has taken 5-6 months.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
The only way to fail is to stop trying. I must keep going at all times and never give up. If I “commit to the Lord in all I do, my plans will succeed.” Proverbs 16:3
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
It’s never to late to be who you want to be. If you have a bad day, don’t give up. Keep going toward your goal.
