Linda lost 86 pounds. She had weight loss surgery in 2013 and lost 98 lbs. However, after having two children, she gained almost all the weight back. With Keto, exercise, and Intermittent Fasting, she released the weight and prioritized her health.
Let me start by saying I had weight loss surgery in 2013. I weighed 289 pounds at the time, and I lost 98 pounds. Then, I had two kids and gained almost all of the weight back. I tried dieting after that. I would lose a little and then gain it back.
Eventually, I looked at myself in the mirror and realized I have to do better. Not just for me but for my family too. I am currently doing Keto and Intermittent Fasting, and let me tell you, they have changed my life.
I am down to 203 pounds as of today. I’m looking forward to losing 40 or 50 more pounds.
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My health and kids inspired me to get healthy.
How did you change your eating habits? What is your intermittent fasting schedule?
I’m Haitian, so we are big on rice. I had to give that up. I started Keto and Intermittent Fasting between the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
I mainly did cardio. I work out four to five times a week.
What is your height?
I’m 5’4″.
When did you start this most recent leg of your journey?
I started my journey when I was told I was pre-diabetic. I decided to change when I looked around, and my only friend was food. I felt at the time that was the only thing that satisfied me.
How long did your transformation take?
It took me one year, and I still have more to lose.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
You have to be consistent.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
I would tell them to start at their own pace. Remember the reason/reasons why you started this journey. Also, if you fall off, remember that it is not a race. Keep pushing.
