Weight Loss Story: Letina lost 64 pounds. She’s faced the loss of her parents and was diagnosed with Gerd/Acid Reflux. She’d been working out for a while, but the diagnosis required her to focus on eating natural foods and that made the difference. Here is what she shared with us about her journey…
I have been on a journey. With the lost of my parents in the last year, it’s been hard. I weighed 242 pounds and now I weigh 178 pounds. I did this over the course of a year, thanks to acid reflux and healthy eating. Now, I’m on track.
In 2003, I was at my max weight of 275 pounds! I found out that I’d reached that weight at a job physical. That was it for me. I ordered workout videos and started working out. However, I was still eating whatever I wanted. Each year since, I’ve said that will be smaller than the year before. So, when I developed Acid reflux/Gerd 2013, I weighed 240 pounds (I’m 5’5″ tall).
In order to get better, I had to be better at my diet more than ever before! With no exercise, very healthy eating and by training my stomach to eat small portions, I’ve gotten down to 178 pounds. The food that I stopped eating was anything that didn’t come from direct God. (fruit, veggies, etc) I went to Sun Rise Health Food store for my medical condition and my doctor’s advice helped me as well. She is awesome! My life revolves around smoothies. They are my lifesavers.
Now, I’m back to working out regularly. I joined a boot camp club for people who want to get in shape. I don’t have much to tone due to me working out for years, no matter what size I was. I work out 2 to 3 days a week. At boot camp, we do circuit workouts.
I hope my journey helps someone. Blessings to you.
