Leigh lost 57 pounds. She stopped starting over on Mondays and committed to lasting change. Binge eating and PCOS could not stop this Blogger. She lost the pound in the past and knew that she could do it again. Check out how she took action.
I’ve been battling with PCOS and weight loss for a while now. I’ve lost over 80 pounds in my life twice and gained it all back! I made the decision 8 months ago to stop starting over on Mondays and truly change my lifestyle and habits! I’ve lost 57 pounds! Although I have so much further to go, this is a Huge milestone!
What inspired you during the challenging times?
The biggest thing that inspired me during my challenging times was the realization that I could actually do this. I got inspired by wanting to live my best and healthy life. One of my biggest inspirations has been your
page and other before and after stories. It is so inspiring to know that others have done this and kept the weight off. I knew that if they could do it, I could too. I also inspired myself, because I had lost weight in the past and knew that I had the will to do it again!
How did you change your eating habits?
The biggest thing I had to conquer was binge eating. I have been a huge binge eater for years. When I wanted to binge, I went to the gym or for a walk instead… and I still do. I already loved fruits and vegetables, so I kept eating those but stopped eating so much packaged food and snacks. I do not follow a specific plan. I just try to eat as healthy as possible. I kinda follow my own plan.
What did your workout routines look like?
I love Zumba and weight training. I like to do other things to switch it up, but those are my go to workouts. I originally worked out 7 days a week. Now I workout 4-5 days a week.
Starting weight/Current weight
My starting weight was 363 pounds and my current weight is 306 pounds. My height is 5’11”.
When did you start your journey?
May 2016
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
Just get started and don’t quit just because you failed. The act of constantly trying is what has made me successful, regardless of the hiccups along the way. Dedication to the overall goal is key.
