What was your motivation?
My daily life as a mother to a young child motivated me. I couldn’t move like I wanted to. I just wanted a change in my life for the best.
How did you change your eating habits?
I stopped eating at 9 p.m. I also left soda alone and ate small portions during the day. In addition, I only drink water and cranberry juice. No fried foods, as well.
What was your workout routine?
I do a 15-minute of work every day and walk 2 miles daily. If it was raining, I would do a Zumba lesson/dance. Most importantly, stretching in the morning and night helped me a lot. Even if I missed a day of working out, I would always stretch.
I only work out at home, and the most significant thing for me is Yoga. The key is to keep active. Even a sit-down workout works.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 268.5 pounds, and my current weight is 228.1 pounds.
What is your height?
I am 5’2″.
Was weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, I didn’t have weight loss surgery
When did you start your journey?
I started on June 13, 2023, and I’m still on this journey to create a healthier life. My goal is to lose 100 pounds.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I can do it.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
Don’t let fear become your life. Motivate yourself, get a journal, and write. Start taking notes and see what works for you. It can help you get in the flow until you know your “dos or don’ts” with your workouts and eating habits. Also, don’t quit if you have a cheat day. That cheat day doesn’t stop the work you are doing.
