Lauren lost 105 pounds and is fighting diabetes with healthy living.
“Here’s some inspiration directly aimed for women 40+. I just had to make some basic lifetstyle changes; cut out junk, processed and fried foods, all refined foods (bread, rice, pasta, etc.). I eat more plant based foods (fruit, plenty of veggies and whole grains, seeds & nuts). Also part of my transformation is juicing and smoothies; whole lot of exercise (mainly walking and cardio), drinking lots of water (alkaline whenever possible) and my faith in God to get me through it all! #fightingtype2diabetes
I also cut out dairy and replaced it with almond and coconut milk, replaced butter with coconut oil. I limited all meat & poultry, but eat more fish and seafood. I do indulge every once in a while with foods I enjoy (bacon and chocolate for example) #Ihatediets #enjoyyourfood”

Could i get recipes too! Do you only drink water… can you suggest other drinks, if any. Did you eat every 3 hrs as i have heard from different people? What fruits and vegtable worked for you the best?
Thank you for your information and congrats on your lifestyle success!

Weight loss after 40 is not only possible but very necessary even if you are not diagnosed with a disease process. The 4th decade is a pivotal one. Either you make changes to improve your healh before the decade is over or it becomes a slippery slope when it comes to diseases and permanent poor health. The strategies Lauren took sounded simple and not dramatic enough to make a difference but.it is just that simple. There is no magic…there is work, but no magic. All the.magic is only temporary, even weightloss surgery. We all have to make the same changes Lauren did,to get the results Lauren is getting. Congratulations Lauren!!!

You look great! I know it was a process and a journey! Please share your pluses and minuses! Did you have help and support! How do you feel now compared to in the past! What are your struggles now! It is always said that taking off the weight is easy, but keeping it off is a challenge! I welcome that challenge though! Continued success and stay blessed and encouraged!
