Update Nov 2019: Latoya is still going strong. Check out her update.
Don’t be scared of change. I went from 230-160 in 9 months and got engaged. I ate a clean, pescatarian diet, worked out, intermittent fasted daily and waist trained about 3-4 nights a week. Keep your eyes on the prize ladies! – @latoyamarieee
Transformation of the Day: Latoya lost 80 pounds. The mom just wanted to live a long life for her son. Calorie counting, becoming a pescatarian and working out regularly was the perfect combination. Check out her story.
What was your motivation? What inspired you during the tough times?
My motivation was my son and wanting to be around for him. I was inspired by looking at other people’s before and after pictures and success stories.
How did you change your eating habits?
I counted calories in the beginning of my weight loss journey. I tried to stay within the range of 1200-1500 calories a day. Then, after losing my initial 40 pounds, I switched to a Pescatarian diet. (vegetarian who eats seafood) Eating clean and doing intermittent fasting is also part of my journey.
How often did you workout?
I worked out 3-5 times a week for an hour each day.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 230 pounds and my current weight is 150 pounds. My height is 5’7″. All natural weight loss.
How long did your transformation take?
I started in November 2016, so it took me a good year.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
Stay consistent!
What advice do you have for other people who want to lose weight?
If you fall off the bandwagon, get back on. It’s easier to shed off 1 day of bad eating than it is to get back on track after numerous days. Don’t give up, guys! Stay motivated.
