Today’s featured weight loss before and after story: Latavia lost 150 pounds. She went from a size 22 to a size 8/10 with Weight Watchers, seeing a nutritionist and working out 5 days a week or more. Here is what she shared with us.
5 years ago, right before I graduated from college, Is when I began working out. I started by working out 3 days a week for a hour a day. Gradually, I worked myself up to exercising 5 or more days a week for an hour a day. I joined Weight Watchers and started tracking everything I ate. Within a month I lost 10 pounds. By the end of the first year I lost 100 pounds and I went from a size 22 to a size 14. In December 2012, I started seeing a nutritionist who helped me make better choices in terms of my eating habits. Since December, I have lost 50 pounds and currently wear a size 10 or 8. I have so much more energy, I feel healthier and I can shop anywhere I want!

I don’t take pictures if I can help it, but I joined Weight Watchers 2 years ago. So far in my journey I’ve loss 70+ pounds. I’m still eating healthy although I don’t exercise. I want to, but I have no money to join a gym or use a nutritionist. Living in the city, I don’t feel safe walking by myself. I still feel 100% better and will continue on my journey until I reach my goal and throughout my life. I’m 70+ years old and at present weigh 220 pounds. My goal weight is 170 pounds.

Try a website called meetup.com Its a website that brings people in different cities together based on interest. You could look under fitness and find someone in your area to walk/exercise with

You can workout at home. Go to your local library and check out workout DVDs. You have to motivate your self to do it either in the morning before your leave or in the evening when you get home.
Mindful says
Barbara, you don’t have to leave your home to walk. Get yourself a Leslie Sansone DVD or check out Youtube. Start walking TODAY!

You can also use workout DVDs to workout in your living room. I use Julian Michael Biggest Looser DVDs and I enjoy working out to it. It’s intense Cardio and light weight training but you will get results and you can exercise at a rate which works best for you until you are able to keep up with the routine. You can also find other DVDs at Wal-Mart, Target, etc. GOOD luck to you in your weight loss journey!!

Congrats on your weightloss success! You look terrific! Love that you let us know that you have so much more energy and feel so much better! I have a question, when you started seeing a nutritionist did you stop Weight Watchers? Why? I always thought it was a great plan and am currently doing it myself.

Lookin good, girl! I can’t wait to get a size 8 again. I might even push to get to a size 6. However, when I was a size 6, I was really eating so we’ll see. You seem like you lost weight the healthy weight and I commend you. There really is nothing like shopping wherever you want.

IAll of the ladies on this site inspire me. I myself has lost 100 pounds in a year and a half. And I feel like I’m also at a stand still. I recently joined a gym, eating better, and drinking more water. Keep up the good work ladies. I also can’t afford things like weight watchers but I’m not going to let that stop me this time. I use to weigh 350 now I’m at 250. My goal is 200. I am also 6 feet tall. And maybe when I get to 200 I will make a new goal!!
