Transformation of the Day: LaQuetta lost 22 pounds and two dress sizes. She’s a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. When she saw one of her soror’s weight loss results online, she was inspired to try the same program. Getting healthy meal plans, fitness guidance, and encouragement from her coach has been key to her success.
After trying various diets, quick loss methods, and even contemplating surgery, I saw an inspiring story featuring one of the lovely ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, on Mr. Terry Starks‘ Facebook and Instagram page. And may I add that I am also a proud member of the beautiful ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
I recently reached out to Terry, and he has helped change my life tremendously. I will forever be grateful! His weight loss/transformation program is only a 35-day program. Some may ask, “How could that be?” but it’s simple. Just follow the plan Mr. Starks designs for you, and apply hard work, dedication, and consistency!
The most impressive aspect I found about Terry’s program: It consisted of NO diet pills, NO surgeries, NO crash diets, and NO waist trainers.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My motivation was to get back to a healthier life. I was inspired by the stories on Terry’s social media profiles. Not only did I see the people that he would feature weekly, but Terry would send out encouraging emails that would inspire me to keep pushing and not give up.
How did you change your eating habits?
After trying various diets, nothing seemed to work. I would easily throw in the towel and quit. However, Terry created a meal plan designed just for me. It was easy to follow, it consisted of foods that I enjoyed, and unlike most diets, I was never hungry or had any cravings.
The meal plan had me cut out all sodas, juices, sweets, and candy that I was regularly eating. Most importantly, I stopped eating fast food, and I must say that before joining the program, I would eat out at least 2 to 3 times a day.
With Terry’s meal plans, you are eating healthier, preparing and cooking fresh food. The meals consisted of chicken, turkey, vegetables, fruit, salads, and lots of water!
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
The program required me to do 30 minutes of cardio once a day for the first week. Then, the goal increased to 30-minutes of cardio twice a day.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 202 pounds. I am down 22 pounds and two dress sizes in just 35 days. My current weight is 180 pounds.
What is your height?
My height is 5’7″.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey? If so, what procedure and when did you have surgery?
No, weight loss surgery was not a part of my journey.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned so far is never to give up! But, I’ve also learned that in just 35 days, you can have positive and amazing results.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Some advice that I would give women wanting to lose weight would be never to give up and keep striving to be that fabulous woman you were put on Earth to be.
I hope to inspire and encourage anyone who may be struggling with weight loss to keep going and strive to be the fabulous person you were placed on Earth to be! I would also encourage anyone out there to reach out to Terry Starks and watch how he can assist with transforming your body and health like never before. He has changed my life from a positive perspective tremendously!
